Tuesday Club
There will be no meetings in December. The Tuesday Club will resume in January.
Stewardship Season
The Finance Committee has sent out letters to the parish along with pledge cards for the coming year. If you did not receive a pledge card, we may not have your correct address or information in our system. Please call or email the parish office and we will correct that. Pledge cards are also available in the back of the church or you may make your pledge online. Please consider what God is calling you to give in the coming year. Please return the cards as soon as possible
Children’s Christmas Pageant
This year we will have our annual Christmas Pageant during the 10:30am service on Sunday, December 22 nd . If you wish to participate, please speak with Kristin Ochtera.
Family Breakfast
We will be having a family breakfast on Dec 22 nd at 9am. The whole family is invited to come and have breakfast before the Christmas pageant.
Donations for Pink Roses – Due December 8 th
December 15 th is Gaudete (Rose) Sunday. We are looking for six parishioners who would be interested in giving a memorial donation in the amount of $55 to defray the cost of the pink roses that will adorn the High Altar, Advent wreath and small vase in the chapel that day. If you are interested in donating, please give your donation to Margaret in the church office or mail before December 8 th . You may use the Christmas flower form but please write ‘Roses” on the top of the form. Please include how you would like the memorial to read in the bulletin.
Christmas Memorial Flowers
Flower memorial gifts for Christmas are being accepted now through Sunday, December 15 th . Please make sure your donation is clearly marked “Christmas Flowers” and please be sure to clearly list the names of the individuals you would like remembered. Envelopes and/or forms are available in the back of the church and in the Parish Hall. They may also be used for the Roses by indicating ‘ Roses’ on both the envelope and the form. Please return them to the Parish Office or leave them in the Parish Office mailbox outside of Fr. Kevin’s office or give them to Margaret Bianchi.
Don’t Forget to Shop at ‘The Shop’
The holidays are almost here and ‘The Shop’ at Ascension offers a unique showcase of gifts, vintage items, crafts, antiques, china and seasonal decor. The shop is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. The shop is staffed by volunteers and all proceeds benefit the church.
Carols & Cookies
Please join us for the Feast of Saint Nicholas on Friday, December 6 th at 6:30 pm. Christmas carols will take place in the church followed by cookies in the parish hall and a special visit from Saint Nick. Anyone willing to bake cookies should speak with Edna Beirne.
Toy Drive for St. John’s ICARE Foundation
Please donate new, unwrapped gender-neutral toys for children ages 6 months to 12 years by Sunday December 8th.
