Tuesday Club

The Tuesday Club will not meeting this Tuesday, February 17 th .

Holy Baptisms

We have scheduled three baptisms today during the 10:30 am service. Let us welcome James Ryan Crawford, Anthony Thomas Emiegh and Rocco Joseph D’Aversa into our family at the Church of The Ascension.

Lenten Book Discussion

Beginning February 22 nd , the Ascension Book Club will begin reading and discussing “The Good Book” by Peter Gomes. Copies of the book will be available for purchase in the parish hall. Discussions will take place Sunday mornings at 9am during Lent.

No Shrove Tuesday this Year

Please note: there will NOT be a Shrove Tuesday pancake supper this year. With preparation for the kitchen renovation it seemed best to skip this year and plan to bring it back in full force next year.

Ash Wednesday Schedule, February 18 th

11am Low Mass with imposition of ashes

5pm Church will be open for prayer and reflection

6pm Brief prayer service with imposition of ashes

7pm Choral Mass with imposition of ashes

Soup & Scripture

Soup & Scripture returns on February 25 th at 6pm. This year we will be reading Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans.

Donations For Pink Roses are due March 8 th

Sunday, March 15 th is Laetare (Rose) Sunday. We are looking for six parishioners who would be interested in giving a memorial donation in the amount of $55 to defray the cost of the pink roses that will adorn the High Altar and small vase in the chapel on that day. You may use the same Easter flower forms just mark at the top “Roses”. If you are interested in making a donation, please speak with Ken Mensing
