Youth Group Meeting

Youth group is kicking off the year. Students in grades 7/8+ are invited to join us at our first meeting on September 27th at 6:00 p.m. Please bring non-perishable food items to support Sharon’s Pantry in RVC.

Ascension Bakeshop

Calling all bakers: Please check out the flyer is today’s bulletin for baked goods for the Fair.

Gift Cards

Please note that we are in need of grocery store gift cards. Many of you know that these gift cards are used to assist people in need with buying groceries. Any and all grocery store gift card donations are welcomed and may be left in Father Kevin’s mailbox.

New Lending Library

Ascension now has a new miniature lending library in the front of the church. This project was the brainchild of Judi Broadhurst and was beautifully crafted by Arthur Snow. It is eye-catching and fun and we hope it gets lots of use.

 

 

Friendship Fair 2025 – Friday, October 17th & Saturday, October 18th  

 

Raffle Baskets

As summer draws to an end and fall begins, we challenge you to let your imagination run wild with clever basket ideas. The Basket Challenge is based on parishioner generosity and good-natured fun!

Here’s how to get started:

*pick a theme then add your name and basket theme to the list on the Fair bulletin board in the parish hall

*plan the contents of your basket based on that theme

*create the basket

*wrap the basket in clear cellophane

*list the contents; attach the list to the outside of the basket

*bring your completed basket to the Parish Hall on Sunday, October 12 th

Looking for a job at the Fair??

If no one has approached you yet about working at the fair, please speak to Judi Broadhurst or email her at idigmick@aol.com. Anytime you can donate will be greatly appreciated!

Donation Requests

PLEASE NOTE: The absolute last date to bring in any other fair items is this Tuesday September 30 th . Donations for furniture items, silent auction and curiosity shop items are no longer being accepted.

Fair Work Nights

Tuesday work nights will continue from 7 - 9 pm. Please bring medium-size cardboard packing boxes.

Set-up Date

We need as many people as possible to help set up the tents and put out merchandise for the Fair on Wednesday, October 15 th and Thursday, October 16 th starting at 9:00 am. All help will be greatly appreciated.

Fair T-Shirts

First time working at the Fair?  You’re entitled to a free t-shirt!  Please let Susan Panzarella know your size.  [suspanzarella@gmail.com]

If you need a new t-shirt you can purchase one for $12.00.  Please let Susan know by Sept. 7th.

            Have too many Fair t-shirts that are still in excellent condition?  You can wash them and bring them back to the church.  These shirts will be available for free, while supplies last, to anyone who would like one.

 

Register Early and Skip The Line!

Please visit https://ff25.givesmart.com to securely register for the 2025 Friendship Fair. Once registered, you can purchase raffle and Parishioner Brunch tickets as well as skip the line when you arrive at the Fair.  Also, if you add a credit card to your registration you'll be able to shop seamlessly throughout the event. 

 

Parishioner Brunch

On Sunday, Oct 19th after 9:30 am Mass we will hold The Parishioner Brunch.  The Brunch is for all Ascension Parishioners, Family & Friends who helped make this year’s Friendship Fair possible.  Please go to https://ff25.givesmart.com and click on the "ITEMS" in the upper left corner.  There is an adult option and a kid option.  Please make your purchase by Friday, Oct 3rd. Again, your personal and credit card data is safe and secure.
