No Parking This Week
There must be NO PARKING in the parish parking lot all week long unless you are here on fair business. Even then parking will be extremely limited. In addition, this is a reminder that we will be enforcing the parish parking policy. In order to use our lot, you must be an active parishioner that has been regular in worship and with a recorded pledge for the past 12 months. Old Ascension parking permits will not be honored.
Friendship Fair 2023
Friday, October 13th & Saturday, October 14th
Register Early and Skip The Line!
Please visit https://ff2023.givesmart.com to securely register for the event. Once registered, you can purchase raffle and Parishioner Supper tickets as well as skip the line when you arrive at the Fair. This is also how you will bid on items for the silent auction. Also, if you add a credit card to your registration you'll be able to shop seamlessly throughout the event. Jackie Gleason will be on hand after mass on Sundays to help those that would like to register early.
Parishioner Supper
On Saturday, Oct 14th at 6:15 pm we will hold The Parishioner Supper. The Supper is for all Ascension Parishioners, Family & Friends who helped make this year’s Friendship Fair possible. Please go to https://ff2023.givesmart.com and click on the "ITEMS" in the upper left corner. There are two adult options (Beef Burgundy & Baked Ziti) and one kid options (Nuggets). Please make your purchase by Monday, Oct 9th. Again, your personal and credit card data is safe and secure.
Fair Volunteer Signup – Jobs Still Available!
Are you still without a job at the Fair? The Volunteers sign up is available on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall. Even a few hours would be greatly appreciated. Having difficulty? Please contact Judi Broadhurst at idigmick@aol.com.
Friendship Fair Quilt Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets continue to be available for a chance to win Lydia Paulsen’s ‘Diamonds & Nosegays’ pattern quilt. Please return all money collected and your ticket stubs from your quilt raffle sales to Mertella Barnes or send it to her attention at the Parish office. Additional tickets are available from Mertella at 516-887-3182 and in the church office.
Raffle Baskets – Due Sunday!

No Parking Starting Wednesday and after
Please note: due to Fair setup, there will be NO PARKING in the parish lot beginning Wednesday, October 11th. If you are a commuter and regularly use our lot, please make alternate arrangements.
Fair T-Shirts / Parking Permits
Fair worker t-shirts and parking permits will be distributed today after each mass.
Garage Sale Setup
Strong men and women beginning at 9 am on Wednesday October 11th and Thursday October 12th to help prepare for our giant outdoor garage sale. Lots of helping hands will make the setting up of tents and tables and the carrying of merchandise much easier. All help will be greatly appreciated!
Ascension Bake Shop
Our bestselling cookie assortments require all of our bakers to make their tastiest HOMEMADE cookies. Please bring your cookies to the Parish Hall by 7:00 o’clock pm on Wednesday, October 11th when we gather to fill the containers. Anyone who can stay to help will be very welcomed.
