Important Construction Information
Our renovation project has begun in earnest. Please note that to enter the church you will need to use the front (red) doors on North Village Avenue. It is not possible (or at least not easy) to enter the church through the parish hall. Please use the Village Avenue doors. To enter the parish hall for coffee hour you will need to go back out the Village Avenue doors and go through the garden to use the Southwest doors into the parish hall (the ones near the restroom). You can also use the doors from the parking lot to access the parish hall. The stairs and entryway near the office are closed.
There will be coffee hour after mass, but for the time being it will be somewhat reduced.
No Book Discussion Sunday
There will be no book discussion group this Sunday. Book discussions will resume 6/21.
The Tuesday Club
Tuesday club will meet this week (6/16) at 11am.
Parking Lot
Please note that there will be no parking on the south end of the parking lot until further notice. The kitchen & our Village Ave. parish hall entrance renovation work has begun and the eight south parking spaces of the parking lot are needed by the construction company. Thank you.
Cakeless Cake Sale
The flyers & the return envelopes for Cakeless Cake Sale have been mailed out. Mark your checks with “Cake” written in the memo section. Please use the enclosed envelope for your donation in order to be entered in the drawing in September for the Malverne Bake Shop gift card. Donations are also gladly accepted all year round. Thank you for your support!
Ascension Today & Tomorrow
It has been a year since we launched the Ascension Today & Tomorrow Campaign, and as you can see from the announcement above, we are finally about to begin construction on the proposed projects. Due to the generosity and early pledge payments of so many of you, we are able to take on this project and begin construction without any loans or outside financing. We do, however, need folks to continue making regular payments on their AT&T pledges. If you have not yet made a pledge to the AT&T Campaign, please consider doing so. We need every bit of financial support we can get to complete this project and to replenish our own reserve funds so that we will have the money to continue to make other necessary repairs as they arise.
Online Giving Update & Church Needs Announcement:
To create a more seamless experience, we have updated the giving page on realm. The dropdown screen has been updated-making it easier to choose the funds to support the ministry of our church. We invite you to take advantage of this convenient way to give.
As we continue serving our congregation and community, we ask you to keep the following needs of our congregation in mind:
• Snow Removal Fund – This winter had brought us a lot of snow, so we have created this
fund to offset the cost of the snow removal that we have incurred thus far. The snow may be gone, but the expenses remain!
• Ascension Today & Tomorrow – As mentioned elsewhere, construction will begin shortly on the kitchen and entrance and will be ongoing throughout the summer.
• General Fund – Sustains our weekly ministries, outreach, and operations
